Pilot Lighting Project Launched by ELMŰ

The purpose of the Visegrád project is to provide the municipality with a sample and assistance for a possible future project to modernize public lighting.

Within the framework of the demonstration project, five LED lighting fixture manufacturers (distributors) were asked by Elmű to propose four or four LED lighting fixtures for the selected section at random on the selected road section, based on predefined public lighting regulations. The road was originally equipped with Tungsram-Schréder’s 70W Sapphire luminaires (with sodium light source).

The types used are defined by the manufacturers (distributors) themselves in the light of the location and expectations. In the experiment, LED lighting fixtures of Közvillszer Kft., Tungsram-Schréder Zrt., Hofeka Kft., Hungaro Lux Light Kft. And Tracon Electric Kft. Were installed:

  • Section 1: Public Utility Ltd. SITECO 5XC2C41C08HA 52W P1.0a
  • Section 2: Tungsram-Schréder Zrt. VOLTANA 2 / 16LED / 56W / 5900lm / NW / 5102 / GeSmFl
  • Stage 3: Hofeka Ltd. Tweet S1 2BLSB12 ERS 600mA 47W 4000 K
  • Stage 4: Hungaro Lux Light Ltd. PearlLight 24-60
  • Section 5: Tracon Electric Ltd. LSJB50W

As part of the experiment, Elmű also carries out comparative lighting measurements between old and new lighting fixtures. LED lighting fixtures are expected to remain in the demonstration project for a longer period of time in order to gain the appropriate practical experience, said Elmű, adding that they are also seeking public opinion.
